ELECTRONIC ARTWORK GUIDELINES
Media
& Email
Any files less than 5 MB may be emailed directly to our Art
Department.
Files may be put on CD-ROM or Zip Disk and mailed to: Art Department,
Image Masters, 429 Grogan Avenue, Merced, CA 95340.
Preferred Software
Vector-Based Files: Because of the scalable nature of vector-based
files they are ideal for use in the screenprinting process. If you
are creating artwork in Adobe Illustrator you may
email the native file (.AI) or you may save as an .EPS file. If
you are creating artwork in Macromedia Freehand or Corel Draw you should save as an .EPS file.
Please convert all fonts to paths or outlines before sending any
vector-based file to us.
Pixel-Based Files: While the images created in pixel-based files
can be reduced in size without losing resolution, they cannot be
enlarged without distortion, so these files are less ideal. If you
must send a pixel-based file (as in the case of a photograph), please
be sure that the file is at least 150 dpi (dots per inch) and at
least 100% of the size that we are to print it. A native Adobe
Photoshop JPG or TIFF file is preferred. Please provide
in RGB format and do NOT convert to CMYK. Caution: This will be
a large file..
If your artwork is not in one of the above formats, you may email
what electronic artwork you do have for evaluation directly
to our Art Department.
